July 27th

As I sat in the church pew today I thank God for getting me there. I also was thanking God for today's message John had given to us as well. I struggle everyday to read the bible so please pray that I read more and stay focused on God every second of the day. Also we talked about pride in our Sunday school class. I am very happy when I finish a bike race and should be.

Cycling is one of the hardest sports to do. You always have to be thinking about something when you race. It helps to also have more strength than everyone as well. Dad always told me before I was a teenager someone will always be better than you. People that want to win all the time are selfish. I would rather work hard and still beat the odds than to sit in and win in a bike race. With teammates in the race it makes it so much harder for me to sit in and wait but I am getting more and more patient. I need to focus less on racing in the races and what would be right in God's eyes.

People get so caught up in the race that they are sinning as they race and don't understand why. So much goes on in my mind that i get side tracked on what I really want to say. God gives me all the ability and strength to do what I do in a race. People don't understand, I always feel like they don't want to talk about it. People have no reply when I say God gave me the power, and wisdom today to do what I did.

I will try and stay focused on that and keep telling people that I can do all things through Jesus Christ that strengthens me.

ABR Ohio State Road Race

Anthony and I stayed on the front until Hayden, Cooper, and I rolled away on 514 coming back to finish the first of four laps. I was very happy with the outcome that God had blessed me with and am looking forward to racing in August the biggest racing month of the year. Thank you lord for giving me the ability to race.

Last Chapel race for this year

Great night and spent some time talking with others. I looked at the series points and I needed to beat Eric so I picked on him tonight. Eric is a great guy. Also he watched my daughter after the race. Caylin was riding her bike and followed Eric around the course. Thanks Eric! I got in a break after Cameron attacked the field several times. Rudy, Dan, Shawn and I worked together. It came down to a sprint for us four and Shawn lead the sprint with Dan on his wheel to the final 200 meters. I just managed to get by them. Thank you Lord!

Face Painted

At the bike race in Miamisburg on Sunday, I got my face painted. The girl heard me tell Mommy that I like princesses and she decided to draw a tiarra on my cheek.

Daddy got 3rd place!

It was a very hot Saturday to race! We went to Troy, Ohio. It was 93 degrees out.
After I raced, it was Daddy's turn. He did great! He got 3rd place! Way to go Daddy. Mommy and I love you! (See the fountain in the back of our family picture. I got in it. Hee Hee!)

My Bike Race

I raced on Saturday. I beat all the girls!! There were only a few boys that beat me! I told Daddy that I would beat them next time! I really pedaled fast. I got a medal after the race! I guess I am going to follow in my Daddy's footsteps!

Swimming with Reece

I got to go swimming with my friend Reece! We had fun swimming and eating lunch together.

Relaxing Friday Before the Wedding

We got to go to Jessie's dads house and have a pool party. I learned how to dive into the pool. (Daddy let me do it! Mommy wasn't there.)

We also had the rehearsal dinner at a real texas BBQ place. They had a bull that I sat on. I was a real Texas cowgirl! They also had a live band that all the kids were dancing to on the dance floor. Mommy needs to sign me up for dance class!

Brad and Jessie's Wedding

I had so much fun flying to Houston for Brad and Jessie's wedding! It was fun being above the clouds. I ate pizza and drank pop. Doesn't that sound healthy!

I was one of eight flower girls. I loved my dress. Everyone said I was beautiful! I did a great job walking down the aisle. When I got to the front of the church I gave my daddy a hug and a kiss.

The wedding ceremony was AWESOME. Uncle Bradley just sobbed when he saw Jessie for the first time. The are a cute looking couple. I love you Bradley and Jessie.
At the reception I danced and danced. I got mad because everyone was doing the chicken dance the wrong way. I sat down on the dance floor and crossed my arms. I was so mad!
I loved the wedding cake, it was so YUMMY! I wanted more cake so I could just eat the frosting!
I lined up to catch the bouquet, but some twenty year old girl caught it. Doesn't she know that the youngest girl there is suppose to get it!
It was a great time, other than the hot hot temperature of 103. TOO HOT!!!

Carnival

Mommy and Daddy took me to the carnival! I LOVE the carnival. Mommy and Daddy don't like it so much though! I got to ride all the little kiddie rides over and over again. I got to eat cotton candy and popcorn! Yummy!

Fun at Acres of Fun

I had a blast playing at Acres of Fun! I am a great bowler like Grandpa Mari.

I also liked watching the people skate at the rink. I want to learn to skate, too!

July 4th Parade

I went to our 4th of July parade! I had so much fun! I got over 300 pieces of candy! (Yes, Mommy counted because she was so curious.) I think my neighbor girls gave me at least 100 of those pieces.

A.W. Tozer Prayer

O Lord, I have heard Your voice and was afraid. You have called me to an awesome task in a grave and
perilous hour. You are about to shake all nations and the earth and also heaven, that the things that cannot
be shaken may remain. O Lord, my Lord, You have stooped to honor me to be Your servant. No man takes
this honor upon himself save he that is called of God as was Aaron. You have ordained me Your messenger
to them that are stubborn of heart and hard of hearing. They have rejected You, the Master, and it is not to
be expected that they will receive me, the servant.
My God, I shall not waste time deploring my weakness nor my unfittedness for the work. The
responsibility is not mine, but Yours. You have said, “I knew you - I ordained you - I sanctified you,” and
You have also said, “You shall go to all that I shall send you, and whatsoever I command you, you shall
speak.” Who am I to argue with You or to call into question Your sovereign choice? The decision is not
mine but Yours. So be it, Lord. Your will, not mine, be done.
Well do I know, God of the prophets and the apostles, that as long as I honor You, You will honor me.
Help me therefore to take this solemn vow to honor You in all my future life and labors, whether by gain or
by loss, by life or by death, and then to keep that vow unbroken while I live.
It is time, O God, for You to work, for the enemy has entered into Your pastures and the sheep are torn and
scattered. And false shepherds abound who deny the danger and laugh at the perils which surround Your
flock. The sheep are deceived by these hirelings and follow them with touching loyalty while the wolf
closes in to kill and destroy. I beg You, give me sharp eyes to detect the presence of the enemy; give me
understanding to see and courage to report what I see faithfully. Make my voice so like Your own that even
the sick sheep will recognize it and follow You.
Lord Jesus, I come to You for spiritual preparation. Lay Your hand upon me. Anoint me with the oil of the
New Testament prophet. Forbid that I should become a religious scribe and thus lose my prophetic calling.
Save me from the curse that lies dark across the modern clergy, the curse of compromise, of imitation, of
professionalism. Save me from the error of judging a church by its size, its popularity or the amount of its
yearly offering. Help me to remember that I am a prophet - not a promoter, not a religious manager, but a
prophet. Let me never become a slave to crowds. Heal my soul of carnal ambitions and deliver me from the
itch for publicity. Save me from bondage to things. Let me not waste my days puttering around the house.
Lay Your terror upon me, O God, and drive me to the place of prayer where I may wrestle with
principalities and powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world. Deliver me from overeating and late
sleeping. Teach me self-discipline that I may be a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
I accept hard work and small rewards in this life. I ask for no easy place. I shall try to be blind to the little
ways that could make life easier. If others seek the smoother path I shall try to take the hard way without
judging them too harshly. I shall expect opposition and try to take it quietly when it comes. Or if, as
sometimes it falls out to Your servants, I should have grateful gifts pressed upon me by Your kindly
people, stand by me then and save me from the blight that often follows. Teach me to use whatever I
receive in such manner that will not injure my soul nor diminish my spiritual power. And if in Your
permissive providence honor should come to me from Your church, let me not forget in that hour that I am
unworthy of the least of Your mercies, and that if men knew me as intimately as I know myself they would
withhold their honors or bestow them upon others more worthy to receive them.
And now, O Lord of heaven and earth, I consecrate my remaining days to You; let them be many or few, as
You wilt. Let me stand before the great or minister to the poor and lowly; that choice is not mine, and I
would not influence it if I could. I am Your servant to do Your will, and that will is sweeter to me than
position or riches or fame and I choose it above all things on earth or in heaven.
Though I am chosen of You and honored by a high and holy calling, let me never forget that I am but a
man of dust and ashes, a man with all the natural faults and passions that plague the race of men. I pray
You, therefore, my Lord and Redeemer, save me from myself and from all the injuries I may do myself
while trying to be a blessing to others. Fill me with Your power by the Holy Spirit, and I will go in Your
strength and tell of Your righteousness, even Yours only. I will spread abroad the message of redeeming
love while my normal powers endure.
Then, dear Lord, when I am old and weary and too tired to go on, have a place ready for me above, and
make me to be numbered with Your saints in glory everlasting. Amen. AMEN.

Tour De Burg

Another great race but low turn out. Hotter than the day before and more spectators to watch us try and beat the odds against Texas Roadhouse. I didn't want to race today but I know it will help for races to come. Paul Martin got away with Andy Moskal and I couldn't go with Kirk Albers. I should have tried but then again that was mentally. I didn't have anything for the sprint and Dave, myself and Andy finished 7-9. Good day against Texas but we didn't have enough numbers.

Troy

Hot race and Hot temps. Low turn out at the race and was a great event one that everyone should have been too. I stayed calm the first part of the race and waited for a while. I timed it just right and had some help by RGF Teammates in the end after Chad, Puffer and I lapped the field. I knew I felt tired in the end so I had my teammates help pull the field and I also pulled the field as I did not want anyone to catch us. Dan Quinlin and Kirk Albers were in the straight away only 14 sec behind us. Awesome save by Puffer as he clipped out of his pedal in the 180 turn around the center of Troy and still got 2nd in the sprint to Chad as I also beat the field for 3rd. Long 50 mile race wore me out.

Time out

Father,
I have been spending so much time thinking about things and little time listening. God I am so very sorry for not spending time with you. I am so greatful for Jim, family and friends to help me go through this life here on earth. Father you are so awesome in everyway yet I don't take the time to ask you for anything. Lord I ask you now to help me focus on you more and that I spend more time with you praying. I am so thankful that you love us no matter how much wasted time I spend on things that don't matter. I will try harder to spend more time with you Lord. I love you Lord and I pray that I take more time to pray to you Father. Time seems to fly by and I can't do anything about the past but I sure can do something now and for the time that you allow in the future. Amen.

Chapel Race

I always love to do this race because of the fellowship time I spend with my friend Jim. God has put Jim in my life to help me stay focused on what God wants from all of us. God wants our love... He wants us to spend time with Him. Jim made it clear that I need to do that more, and Jim is 100% right. We can never spend enough time with God.

Any way the race was going good and I was in a 4 man break until I started thinking again. I jumped up to the lapped riders thinking they would grab my wheel. They let me go and Shawn and I Time Trialed the rest of the race. What was I thinking? Anyway first race with the new shoes and they are totally AWESOME!!!

Josh Hamilton

I wanted to post something about this guy cause he has a very miraculous story. I also believe it is a God thing that made him who he is today. Thank you Lord! After Josh lost the Home Run derby last night he may have won others to Christ after he said that Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior. Way to go Josh I will be praying for God to keep you focused on Him and what He wants you to do next.

Josh Hamilton's Personal life

Family
Josh Hamilton is married to Katie (nee Chadwick), the daughter of one of the men (Michael Chadwick) who helped him in his quest to get clean. They started dating in 2002, when Hamilton returned to Raleigh.[24] They married in 2004.[33] Katie has a daughter, Julia from a previous relationship, and together Josh and Katie have a daughter, Sierra. They went through a period of estrangement when it became clear that Josh was using drugs again. After he got clean in 2005, he began seeing his family again. The couple is currently expecting another child.[24]

Recovery/Faith
Hamilton's struggles with drugs and alcohol are well documented. He finally got clean after being confronted by his grandmother, Mary Holt. Hamilton says he hasn't used drugs or alcohol since October 6, 2005.[1] When giving a brief summary of his recovery Hamilton says simply "It's a God thing."[20] He does not shy away from telling his story, speaking to community groups and fans at many different functions. He frequently and publicly tells stories of how Christianity has brought him back from the brink and that faith is what keeps him going.[33] His wife Katie sometimes accompanies him, offering her perspective on his struggles as well.[24] To go along with the provisions of MLB's drug policy, Hamilton provides urine samples for drug testing at least three times per week.[34] Rangers' coach Johnny Narron says of the frequent testing: "I think he looks forward to the tests. He knows he's an addict. He knows he has to be accountable. He looks at those tests as a way to reassure people around him who had faith."[33] Hamilton approaches the plate at Texas Rangers home games to the song "Saved The Day" by Christian group Phillips, Craig & Dean.[35]
