How long?

How long will it be before Christianity is taken from our Freedom? I feel that I will be long gone before that happens, but some things are already happening. Like the Ten Commandments, or Prayer out of the schools. Prayer before games or events is also forgotten or not allowed.

I have been to Washington D.C. and have seen quotes by other Presidents. They are great quotes and Christianity is found in a lot of Presidents. The thing that concerns me is that some just seem to be quotes because the U.S.A. sure has changed since Our Founding Fathers and I wish George would have ben a king instead of a President. Since he declined and said a President, it seems that less people are voting each term and less responsiblity for the President. I will continue to pray for our leaders of The United States of America and pray that they will turn toward Christianity more.

Bible Stuff

The first genealogy we see in the Bible is ADAM to NOAH (Genesis 5). This genealogy will be important throughout the Bible (Old and New Testaments) for all sorts of reasons. However, in this study, we just want to toss-out a dramatic “evidence of design” based on the Hebrew roots of these ten names.

ADAM (adomah) means “man.” This one makes absolute sense, since he’s the first one.

SETH means “appointed.” Eve said, “For God has appointed me another seed instead of Abel , whom Cain slew.”

ENOSH (anash) means “mortal,” “frail” or “miserable,” used in the context of incurable grief, sickness, woe or wickedness. It was in the days of Enosh that Man began to defile God.

KENAN means “sorrow”, “dirge” or “elegy.” Again, this was a dark period of history, and parents traditionally used names that referred to circumstances at birth, etc.

MAHALALEL (mahalal) means “blessed” or “praise” and (El) was the name for God. Therefore, Mahalalel traditionally means “the blessed God”. (Side note: you’ll see that many Hebrew names include El, such as Dani-el, “God is my Judge,” Nathani-el, “Gift of God,” etc.)

JARED (yaradh) means “shall come down.” Many scholars attribute this to the time when the “sons of God” “came down” to Earth to corrupt the daughters of men, resulting in the Nephilim (“fallen ones”).

ENOCH means “teaching” or “commencement.” Later in the Bible, we find that Enoch was the first of four generations of preachers.

METHUSELAH (muth) means “death” and (shalach) means “to bring” or “to send forth.” Therefore, his entire name means “his death shall bring.”

LAMECH (root still evident in today’s English meaning “lament”) means in Hebrew context here “despairing.”

NOAH (nacham) means “to bring relief” or “comfort.”

Now, if we line it all up, here’s what we get: :

Valley City

Andy Clarke was in a break on the first lap and my legs felt good so I tried to help out the team. When everyone chased that first break back I took off. I was very glad to see no one chased but had no idea I was about to do a 37 mile TT. Legs hurt the first lap but the next 2 they felt better. Thank you Lord for helping me to ride one of the best races in my life.

Tired race weekend

The start to my day was waking up early at 3:00 am. I was going to do 3 races but my legs didn't have any snap to them at all after a 5 hour drive and 4 hours of sleep. Got in a break with two others and was beat at the line by Dirk in the masters race. After racing the masters race I knew I couldn't sprint so I tried to make breaks work. I made it into a 5 man break with 3 Roadhouse and a PA Lightning. Roadhouse took the first 3 places as Dirk beat me again. Dirk is Awesome!

The nex day I felt worn down and tired from the day before and did everything I could to stay at the front of the race. Jeff, Burns, and I got into a break and stayed away. I couldn't drop Jeff in the sprint so I grabbed his wheel into the head wind and came around him at the line. Thank you Lord for helping my leg to get better each day. I just love to ride my bike.

May be the last time.

Well I have been thinking about doing something really crazy. I plan on traveling 811 miles by car and 75 miles racing my bike. Two different locations and 3 different races. If things go good I may just pull it off in 21 hours. Then get up after 6 hours of sleep(which I don't do good after a bike race anyway) and go to church. Yes I am skipping the Elite Nationals this year, maybe next year. I know that the last five laps are not for this over weight body so maybe next year I will be 10 pounds lighter or more. This will be sort of punishment for not doing what I should do. I may have to change my nickname to Beast, thanks to Brooke and others. Ryan did have it right though and it may still be Cookie Monster but I hope I start eating less cookies.

Any way pray for my eating habits at 4 pm every day and pray for my safe races and travel to the races. I will miss K.K. and Beauty for this very long day. Following weekend may be Valley City depending upon how I race this weekend.

Church was great and I learned more on lust so stay tuned and I hope to have something posted soon. Pray that I post something soon. John got the Man award for the year on his comment in class, thanks John you are my hero! Not really, but you are a great inspiration.

What a message! I love how Isaac ended with showing appreciation to those at OCC who have helped him run the race and get to the place where he is today. Very powerful seeing everyone stand!

Marion weekend

As you can see from the pics we had fun in Marion, IN. I did race but with weakness in my right leg. God blessed me with many miracles this weekend. I broke my chain the first day and almost flew off the bike. Chris Kelley had given me his bike and shoes to use the rest of the race. I felt good but with time and new bruise to my knee my right leg was hurting a lot. It's too bad I was not healthy for this race because I loved the course.

Saturday the race looked like it wouldn't be my kind of course and I should have listend to Dan to just sit in the whole race. I worked hard with my right leg feeling a little better today I was still very dissappointed that Dan or I didn't make it to the break away group. When Karl Menzies went I though for sure Dan was with him so I sat in after I pulled one hard lap. I should have talked with Dan more during the race I didn't know he had crashed. I sure am glad he was ok. We almost didn't make the start of the race Dan had a flat during warm up and we scrambled to get him a wheel. Thank you Lord for being there with us all weekend long. Thanks for our health and safety. Thank you for allowing me to share with others how much you have blessed me. Great job to J.J.

I won this helmet this past weekend at a bike race. I was the only person in my family to win anything this weekend.


Mommy has been riding bikes with me in the evenings. The first time we went out I asked her where her training wheels are. (I guess she realizes that I haven't touched my bike the whole year.)

Fun Dip


I LOVE FUN DIP! After every safety break at the pool I took my quarter and bought Fun Dip! I love it! Of course during the last week that the pool is open, Mommy found it at the dollar store for ten cents. Mommy has me all stocked for a long time. She bought 50 of them. Oh, Boy!!

Swimming





I went swimming a lot this summer. I had a pool pass, so I could go anytime I wanted. I had fun swimming with all my friends. Nathan, Andrew, Emily, Robert, Noah, Carson, and Dillon came to the pool to swim with me.


I learned to put my head all the way under the water this year! It isn't scarey! It is fun!

Marion

I just had to write today before my race. I need prayer after what happened last night on my way home from work. Since I started cycling on Aug 11 2001 at 280 pounds, I have seen a lot of stuff happen. I have seen beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I have seen racers do some pretty awesome things in races. I have also seen some of the negative things as well. I have seen racers wreck and I have been in many myself. I have seen guys get hit by cars or total cars. I have heard of riders getting hurt or die during training or in races. I have heard of riders getting sick or I have even raced with riders that have never come back to the sport.

Well to get on to what I am writing about, I need prayer. I need prayer for all of them and myself. I have almost witnessed head on collisions and I have been blessed to this point, Thank you Lord Jesus. I have been sick during the season in 2004 for over 2 months. I have never been out for longer than 15 days for a wreck. God has protected me and has blessed me very much. I recently had a great weekend with my best race in the elite 1/2 when I drove the break of 4 riders and just put out more power than the others. I was very happy to sacrafice the first two places. The Lord has Blessed me so much. To get on with the resaon I am writing, I need a miracle. Last night I was riding home from work and I did my first sprint at 900 watts then the 2nd for 1100 watts. The 3rd was much more distrubing than the first two. To begin with my legs still felt tired and maybe I shouldn't have done any at all and something told me not to but I did them anyway. The 3rd one I only hit 1245 which I usally hit that on the first attempt and I have hit 1550's on the 3rd attempts. Well during that time I felt a strain on my right leg at the connecting point area. I am guessing it is the Sartorius muscle. Please pray that it will heal as I had trouble walking last night. It is still sore but feels better. I have not got on the bike yet where it really hurts to make a movment every pedal stroke that is above 150 watts. The Sartorius muscle is a long thin muscle that runs down the length of the thigh. It is the longest muscle in the human body. Its upper portion forms the lateral border of the femoral triangle. So please pray that I will be able to race as we make a long trip out to Marion, Indiana. I just want to be able to ride my bike so I am hoping I don't do any more damage than I already have. If you need to change my mind about this weekend call me 1-877-766-4465 I will be here till noon. You can still call that number and my dad will let me know and he will be here till 5 pm. He doesn't know about this yet but he will soon. Thanks for the prayers, pray that when I warm up at 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm it will feel better as I warm up for the race. Stage 2 Elite Cat 1/2

After racing the Masters race all I had to do was sit in the field of the elite race and I would win more money. I thought I did just that but the officals thought differently. I gave everything I had the last lap and tried to move up causing my legs to cramp up, after the first 10 laps of the race I knew it would be a long day. That last lap I did move up but as my legs were cramping I couldn't stay up front. Riders quit early causing a big break in front of me and I thought I had bridged back up to the field but I guess it wasn't meant to be. I stated my point of view to the officals and I let them decide since I had won more money than everyone all weekend thanks to the masters race. I would have been 7th overall for the Elite Stage race for $700 dollars. I will soon get to see the race August 30th on National TV as long as our cable company has the right channel. Overall best weekend I have ever had racing but I know I can do better and my legs didn't feel as good as Hyde Park and Grandview. I give My Lord and Savior Jesus all the glory for the great things He has done for me. He is waiting with open arms to give you a warm welcome, I pray for you to make that choice today.

Elk Grove Masters race Cat 1/2

Crashed myself going for the first prime. Took all the other primes with the help of my teammates. One prime the other riders told me they were splitting the prime when I joined them. They asked me twice then stopped pulling and asked me the third time. Andy Crater said "we are splitting right Jeremy". I said "no" and then took off as they gave up. Got in a break with Crater and Josh Frick. Everything worked for the win. God had blessed me so much this weekend, thank you Lord.

Daddy won!



Daddy got to put his hands up as he finished the Alexian Brothers Tour of Elk Grove Master's race. He got 1st place. He won all but one prime. (A prime is when they ring the bell and the first one across the line on that lap wins money.) Woo Hoo! You go Daddy! He really cleaned house today! Jesus gave him the strength to do as great as he did!

Daddy got 3rd place in the Alexian Brothers Tour of Elk Grove Category Elite 1/2 race on Saturday! I got some podium time. They interviewed Daddy for the newspaper and the local ABC channel. Pretty cool! I am so proud of my Daddy! He is my super hero!

Batman, Spiderman, and Chicken were at this past weekends race in Chicago! I just had to have my photo taken with them!

Alexian Brothers Tour of Elk Grove 2008

Well day one was a Miracle. God kept me safe from all the wrecks and pushed me to go for it in the last 4 laps of the race. Thank you Lord for an awesome race. Please Lord be with Becky and Caylin today as I will be doing two races of teeth grinding tension races today. I pray that Caylin will listen to mommy and maybe even take a nap at the race. Thank you Lord for the result. As I know it is what you had planned. Be with our safety today as it will drain my body completely. I ask for your strength since I could not sleep more than 4 hours. Why does that always happen after the first race? The 2nd night I sleep great but the first is always lack of sleep. I pray you will help me get through work monday and sleep long monday night. Thank you Lord I pray that others will want to know you more as I have been spending a lot of time telling people how you have blessed my life.
